Overview

Skin Craft is a professional skin enhancement feature that uses AI to improve skin quality in portrait images. It provides natural-looking skin smoothing, refinement, and enhancement while preserving facial features and details. Perfect for portrait photography, headshots, and professional images.

When to Use Skin Craft

  • Portrait Enhancement: Improve skin quality in portrait photos

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Select Image (Required)

  1. Navigate to Skin Craft:

    • Click on "Skin Craft" card from the dashboard
  2. Choose an Image:

    • In the "Select" section, you'll see several tabs:
      • Actors Tab: Browse pre-generated actor images
      • Upload Tab: Upload your own portrait image
      • Generate Tab: Generate a new image using AI
      • History Tab: Select from your previous generations
  3. Select Your Image:

    • Click on any portrait image from any tab
    • The selected image will appear in the preview canvas
    • Zoom controls are available to inspect the image

Note: A portrait image is required. The feature works best with images that show faces clearly.

Step 2: Enhance (Generate)

  1. Generate Button:

    • Once you've selected an image, click the "Enhance Skin" or "Generate" button
    • Credit cost: 3 credits per enhancement
    • The enhancement process begins immediately
  2. Generation Process:

    • Generation takes approximately 30-60 seconds
    • A loading animation appears in the preview canvas
    • You can wait on the page or navigate away
    • You'll receive an email notification if enabled (if configured)
  3. Completion:

    • Once complete, the enhanced image appears
    • A before/after comparison slider is displayed automatically
    • You can compare the original and enhanced versions side-by-side

Step 3: Compare Before/After

  1. Comparison Slider:

    • A slider interface appears showing both versions
    • Left Side (Before): Original image
    • Right Side (After): Enhanced image
    • Slider Handle: Drag to compare different portions
  2. Using the Slider:

    • Drag Left/Right: Move the slider handle to reveal more of either version
    • Click to Position: Click anywhere on the slider to jump to that position
    • Touch Support: Works on mobile devices with touch gestures
    • Labels: "BEFORE" and "AFTER" labels show which version is which
  3. Interactive Comparison:

    • Smooth Interaction: Smoothly transition between before and after
    • Detailed Inspection: Use the slider to inspect specific areas
    • Zoom: Use zoom controls to inspect details while comparing

Step 4: Choose or Cancel

  1. Choose Button:

    • If you're happy with the enhancement, click "Choose"
    • The enhanced image is saved and becomes available in your history
    • You can use this enhanced image in other features
  2. Cancel Button:

    • If you don't like the enhancement, click "Cancel"
    • The enhancement is discarded
    • You can try again with the same or different image
    • Credits are not refunded for completed enhancements (even if cancelled)
  3. Decision:

    • Take your time to compare before making a decision
    • Use the slider to inspect the enhancement thoroughly
    • Consider if the enhancement meets your needs

Credit Cost

  • Fixed Cost: 3 credits per enhancement
  • No Variables: Cost is the same regardless of:
    • Image size
    • Image complexity
    • Number of faces in the image
  • Deduction: Credits are deducted when you click "Enhance Skin"
  • No Refund: Credits are not refunded if you cancel the enhancement (enhancement is complete)

Image Selection

  • Portrait Images: Works best with clear portrait photos
  • Face Visibility: Ensure faces are clearly visible in the image
  • Good Quality: Use high-quality source images for best results
