Ad Craft

Ad Craft

Overview

Ad Craft is an AI-powered video ad generator that takes you from a simple product brief to a complete, ready-to-publish video ad. You answer a few questions about your product, choose an actor and voice, review the AI-generated script and frames, then generate and export your ad. The feature combines script generation, first-frame creation (Image Craft), and video generation (Quick Video, Premium Video, or Lip Sync) into one guided wizard—ideal for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

When to Use Ad Craft

  • Product ads: Promote a product with a structured, hook-driven script and consistent actor
  • UGC-style ads: Get a “user-generated content” feel with talking-head (A-roll) and product/action (B-roll) shots
  • Faster production: Go from brief to final video in one flow instead of using each feature separately
  • Voice options: Use AI Voice for speed (auto-generated voice) or Custom Voice (TTS or lip sync) for consistent voice across all shots

Wizard Steps (Overview)

  1. Product Brief – Enter product name, description, audience, key benefits, and optional testimonials. AI uses this to generate the script and shot list.
  2. Select Actor – Choose or upload the actor who will appear in the ad (same options as Video Craft: library, upload, generate, history).
  3. Choose Voice – Pick AI Voice (fast, auto voice) or Custom Voice (TTS voice, clone, or record). Custom Voice keeps the same voice across all talking shots.
  4. Review Script – Review and edit the AI-generated script, hooks, and shot list (A-roll and B-roll). Add or remove shots if needed.
  5. Review Frames – Generate first-frame images for each shot (via Image Craft). Review and regenerate or edit frames until you’re satisfied.
  6. Generate Videos – Generate videos for each shot (Quick Video, Premium Video, or Lip Sync depending on voice and shot type). Credits are deducted here; you’ll see an estimated total before starting.
  7. Export – Preview the assembled ad, then download or open in the Video Editor for fine-tuning.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Product Brief

  • Product name and description: What you’re selling and how you’d describe it.
  • Target audience: Who the ad is for (e.g. “busy professionals”, “skincare enthusiasts”).
  • Key benefits / USP: Main reasons to buy.
  • Testimonials (optional): Short quotes or results to weave into the script.

The AI uses this to generate hook options and a shot list (A-roll = actor talking to camera, B-roll = product/action with voiceover). You can edit everything in Step 4.

Step 2: Select Actor

  • Same actor selection as Video Craft Lite: Actors tab (library), Upload, Generate (AI avatar), or History.
  • The same actor is used for all shots so your ad looks consistent.
  • You can edit the actor image later with Image Craft (e.g. product placement) when reviewing frames.

Step 3: Choose Voice

  • AI Voice: The platform generates a natural voice for the script. Fastest option; good for testing and quick iterations.
  • Custom Voice: Use a TTS voice, clone your voice, or record yourself. Ensures the same voice on every talking shot (A-roll and B-roll voiceover). Best for a polished, consistent ad.

Step 4: Review Script

  • Review the hooks (opening lines) and the shot list (A-roll and B-roll).
  • Each shot shows: type (A-roll/B-roll), script line or voiceover text, action description, duration.
  • You can edit script lines, actions, and durations, and add or remove shots.
  • When ready, proceed to generate first-frame images for each shot.

Step 5: Review Frames

  • The platform generates a first-frame image for each shot using Image Craft (same actor, scene, and product placement as described in the script).
  • You can regenerate a frame, choose a variation, or edit the image with Image Craft (e.g. adjust product placement) before generating videos.
  • Credits for frame generation are shown before you start. When all frames are approved, move to video generation.

Step 6: Generate Videos

  • Each shot becomes one video: A-roll shots use the script line (and Lip Sync if you chose Custom Voice); B-roll shots use the voiceover text with the chosen video style.
  • Credit estimate is shown before you start (based on number of shots, voice approach, and aspect ratio). Ensure your workspace has enough credits.
  • Generation runs in the background. You can track progress on the step. When all shots are done, you can preview and go to Export.

Step 7: Export

  • Preview the full ad (all clips in order).
  • Download the final video, or Open in Video Editor to trim, reorder, add music, or adjust before exporting.

Credits

  • Script generation: Uses credits when the script is generated.
  • Frames: Each first-frame image uses Image Craft credits (per shot).
  • Videos: Each shot uses video generation credits (Quick Video, Premium Video, or Lip Sync depending on voice and shot type). The wizard shows an estimated total before you start Step 6.
  • Credits are deducted from your workspace; all members share the same balance. See Understanding Credits and Credit Costs for details.

Tips

  • Be specific in the brief: Clear product description and benefits lead to better scripts and frame prompts.
  • Use Custom Voice for consistency: If the ad has multiple talking shots, Custom Voice (Lip Sync) keeps one voice throughout.
  • Review frames before videos: Fix expressions, product placement, or backgrounds in Step 5 to avoid re-running expensive video steps.
  • Aspect ratio: Choose 9:16 for TikTok/Reels/Shorts, 16:9 for YouTube or landscape, or 1:1 for square. This affects frame and video generation.
