Credit Transactions

Overview

Credit transactions show the complete history of all credit-related activities in your workspace. This guide explains how to view and understand your credit transaction history.

Accessing Transaction History

Step 1: Open Settings

  1. Click the Settings icon (gear) in the top-right corner of the dashboard
  2. The settings modal will open

Step 2: Navigate to Credits Tab

  1. Click on the "Credits" tab (fourth tab with CreditCard icon)
  2. You'll see a nested tab bar with two sub-tabs: "Summary" (with BarChart3 icon) and "Transactions" (with List icon)
  3. Click on the "Transactions" sub-tab to view transaction history

Location: Settings modal → Credits tab → Transactions sub-tab (second button in nested tabs).

Understanding Transaction List

Transaction Display

Each transaction is displayed as a card showing:

  1. Left Side:

    • Icon: Feature icon (or CreditCard for purchases, RefreshCw for refunds)
    • Title: What the transaction was for (e.g., "Quick Video", "Credit Purchase")
    • Credit Amount & Status: Amount of credits with icon (Plus for purchases/refunds, Minus for usage) and status badge
    • Balance: Current balance after this transaction
  2. Right Side:

    • Expand Button: Chevron icon button to expand/collapse details
  3. Layout:

    • Title on first line
    • Credit amount and status in the middle
    • Date and feature name on the last line (separated by bullet point)

Location: Transactions sub-tab, scrollable list of transaction cards (rounded-xl, with hover effects).

Transaction Types

Purchase:

  • Shows credits added to workspace
  • Displays package name and credits purchased
  • Status: Completed (after payment)

Usage/Deduction:

  • Shows credits used for generation
  • Displays feature name and generation details
  • Status: Completed (immediately), Pending (during generation), Failed (if generation fails)

Refund:

  • Shows credits refunded (typically for failed generations)
  • Displays what was refunded and why
  • Status: Completed

Transaction Details

Expanding a Transaction

  1. Click Expand: Click the chevron icon button on the right side of any transaction card
  2. View Details: Expanded view shows additional information:
    • Credit Summary Card:
      • Balance Before: Your credit balance before this transaction
      • Action: What happened (e.g., "Used 12 credits", "Refunded 12 credits", "Added 1,100 credits")
      • New Balance: Your credit balance after this transaction
    • Details Section:
      • Transaction ID
      • Full timestamp
      • Detailed description
      • Feature type (if applicable)
      • Error messages with icon (if failed)
      • Technical details

Location: Transaction card, chevron icon button on the right side.

Credit Summary Card

When you expand a transaction, you'll see a "Credit Summary" card (displayed in a bordered box) showing:

  • Balance Before: Your credit balance before this transaction
  • Action: What happened with clear label and icon:
    • "Used X credits" (with Minus icon, red color) - for usage transactions
    • "Refunded X credits" (with RefreshCw icon, blue color) - for refunds
    • "Added X credits" (with Plus icon, green color) - for purchases
  • New Balance: Your credit balance after this transaction

This visual summary makes it easy to understand the impact of each transaction at a glance.

Filtering Transactions

Date Range Filter

  1. Select Date Range:

    • Use the "Date Range" dropdown
    • Options: Last 30 days (default), Last 60 days, Last 90 days, Last 120 days, Custom Range
    • Custom Range allows selecting specific start and end dates
  2. Custom Date Range:

    • Select "Custom Range" from dropdown
    • Choose start date and end date
    • Maximum range: 120 days (3 months)
    • System validates dates are within limit

Location: Transactions sub-tab, "Date Range" dropdown at top.

Note: Transaction logs are available for the last 120 days (3 months) only.

Transaction Type Filter

  1. Select Type:
    • Use the "Transaction Type" dropdown
    • Options: All, Purchase, Usage, Refund
    • Filter to see specific types of transactions

Location: Transactions sub-tab, "Transaction Type" dropdown.

Status Filter

  1. Select Status:
    • Use the "Status" dropdown
    • Options: All, Completed, Pending, Failed
    • Filter by transaction status

Location: Transactions sub-tab, "Status" dropdown.

Understanding Transaction Statuses

Completed

  • Transaction finished successfully
  • Credits were added, used, or refunded
  • Most common status

Pending

  • Transaction is in progress
  • Credits may be reserved but not yet finalized
  • Typically during active generation

Failed

  • Transaction did not complete
  • Credits may be refunded automatically
  • Check error message for details

Transaction Amounts

Positive Amounts (Green/Plus Icon)

  • Purchases: Credits added to workspace
  • Refunds: Credits returned to workspace
  • Shows as positive number with plus icon

Negative Amounts (Red/Minus Icon)

  • Usage: Credits deducted for generation
  • Shows as negative number (or absolute value with minus icon)
  • Represents credits spent

Zero Amounts

  • Some transactions may show 0 if no credits were affected
  • Rare, typically indicates a status change

Purchase Transaction

Title: "Credit Purchase" Date: [Date and time] Amount: +1,100 credits (with plus icon) Status: Completed Details: Popular Package purchased, 1,100 credits added

Usage Transaction

Title: "Quick Video" Date: [Date and time]
Feature: Quick Video Amount: -12 credits (with minus icon, shown in red) Status: Completed Details: Video generation completed, 12 credits deducted

Refund Transaction

Title: "Quick Video" Date: [Date and time] Amount: +12 credits (with refresh/refund icon) Status: Completed Details: Generation failed, 12 credits refunded

Tips

Regular Review

  • Monitor Usage: Review transactions regularly to understand spending
  • Track Patterns: Identify usage patterns and trends
  • Verify Refunds: Check that failed generations are properly refunded
  • Budget Planning: Use transaction history to plan credit purchases

Understanding Costs

  • Feature Costs: See actual costs per feature from usage transactions
  • Cost Comparison: Compare costs across different features
  • Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize credit usage

Dispute Resolution

  • Check Details: Review transaction details if something seems wrong
  • Verify Status: Check transaction status and error messages
  • Contact Support: Reach out if transactions seem incorrect

Troubleshooting

Transactions Not Showing

  • Check Date Range: Ensure date range includes the transactions
  • Check Filters: Verify filters aren't hiding transactions
  • Refresh Page: Reload the page to refresh data
  • Check Workspace: Ensure you're viewing correct workspace

Incorrect Amounts

  • Review Details: Expand transaction to see full details
  • Check Context: Understand what the transaction was for
  • Verify Balance: Check if balance calculations seem correct
  • Contact Support: If amounts seem incorrect

Missing Transactions

  • Date Limit: Remember transactions only show for last 120 days
  • Check Filters: Ensure filters aren't excluding transactions
  • Refresh Data: Refresh page to reload data
  • Check Workspace: Verify correct workspace is selected
